Jazlyn was born in Kenora on September 28, 1989. Our memories of Jazlyn are centered around her childhood years in Kenora which are full of joy and family. She was always present as a child and her creative energy contributed to many fun memories and memorable times. She was a beautiful young lady and is remembered by her beautiful smile.
As a young adult, Jazz sought independence and moved out west becoming a mother at the age of 20, giving birth to two incredible human beings; Phoenix and then Arien a few short years after. Even though Jazz sought independence she always made time to check in with her mother. When Jazlyn came home to Kenora to visit she enjoyed fishing from the dock at her mother’s house and catching up with old friends especially her best friend Amy. Jazlyn brought many smiles to everyone who knew her as well as a few tears from time to time.
She was fiercely loved and will always be remembered by her mother, Leanne Bongfeldt, Leanne’s partner Maurice Fraser and her father, Francois (Frank) Wilcott and her two beautiful children Phoenix Grandbois and Arien Dube.
She is also remembered by countless aunts, uncles, and cousins whose lives she’s touched as well as her lifelong childhood friend Amy Fadden.
She was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Edward and Jeanette Bongfeldt, Archie Wilcott, John Fraser Sr., her aunt Dianne Singbeil-Bongfeldt, and her cousin Christine Bongfeldt.
Jazlyn is finally at peace.
A Celebration of Life at a later date will be held.
