Jerry Cameron

November 3, 1964 – September 24, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Cameron at the age of 58 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre hospital on Saturday, September 24, 2023.

Jerry Cameron was born and raised in Wabaseemoong Independent Nation (Whitedog) on November 3rd, 1964.

He was predeceased by his mother Annie Cameron (Kelly) and father Robert Cameron. Predeceased siblings Sister Evaleen Cameron and Brothers Larry, Duncan, Ronald and Fredrick Cameron. Nephews Jason Scott and Cameron Land.

Survived by his sisters Dora Cameron (Garnet), Donna Cameron (Leonard), brothers Steven Cameron (Leah) and Jimmy Cameron (Rose). His uncle Jim Kelly and aunt Mary Kelly.

Nieces April, Savannah (Lyle), Charlotte (Nate), Cherilyn (George), Alyssa (Darren), Melody, Evaleen, and Nephews Christopher, Dennis, James, Javien, Russell, Donovan, Ronald, Kurk, Dakota, Quinton.

Cousins Teresa, Loretta, Rosella, Ricky, Glen, Micheal, Fred, Jessie, Iris, Yvonne, Billy, Rosie, Marsha, Darrell, Naz, Claudette, Fawn, Conrad, Howard, Martin, Mark, Lillian, Martha as well as many more cousins, grandchildren and relatives too numerous to mention.

Jerry enjoyed spending his time outdoors, snaring rabbits and fishing. He also enjoyed working at the Resource Centre where he was employed. Having family gatherings, playing cards at the Community Hall with his sister and friends and visits with his best friend Clarence. He will be deeply and sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring Doctors and Nurses of Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre Hospital.

A wake service for Jerry will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at Whitedog Resource Centre, Whitedog, Ontario. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Whitedog Resource Centre with burial to follow in Whitedog First Nation.
