Mr. Leonard Maxwell Creedon

June 23, 1916 - December 7, 2008

Peacefully, at the age of 92, Len Creedon passed away at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

Len leaves to mourn his daughters Nora Crichton and Joan Coutanche (Guy), son Don Creedon (Elna), grandchildren Scott Crichton, Susan Crichton (Craig), Shannon Creedon (Shawn), and Lindsay Creedon, as well as great grandchild Julia Hobson.

Len was predeceased by his wife Elinor in 1987.

Len was born in Souris, Manitoba and moved to Kenora during his teen years. He was a proud veteran of World War II where he served in the Air Force. He and his wife Elinor loved Kenora and Lake of the Woods, spending many hours boating and fishing. In recent years, Len was an avid walker, once spending most of a day walking the “new” bypass. He enjoyed having coffee and chatting with his many acquaintances around Kenora.

During the past couple of years he began to decline physically, but never lost his sense of humour and wit. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family.

The family thanks the 2nd and 3rd floor nurses at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, the staff at Birchwood Terrace, as well as the ministers of Knox United Church, Eric Matheson and Cheryl Kinney
