Leroy Fobister October 30, 1978 – March 10, 2023 Leroy Fobister – a resident of Grassy Narrows First Nation passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father Simon Fobister, grandparents Mary Lydia Pahpasay, Tom Payash, uncle Isaac Pahpasay, auntie Elizabeth Pahpasay ‘Poosh’, Harriet Pahpasay, sister Cindy Pahpasay, cousin Corina Skead, sister-in-law Janice Assin, auntie Marilyn Loon. He is survived by his children Linda, River, Akellies Fobister, his common law partner Susan, mother Lucy Fobister, brothers Kari (Stacy), Ben, Brian (Tasha), Brent, Harrison, Juni, Ryan P., Joshua, Bear, Clayton, Travis, Derek, Mario, Eddie Jr., Chipp and Wade, sisters Amanda, Melissa, Yolanda, Laura, Pwaan, Angelica, Elaine, Fawn, Denise and Holly. As well as aunties and uncles Raphael (Barbara), Jane (Eddie), Maybel (Ed), Thomas, Mervin, Gordon, nieces and nephews Jesse, Mason, Beckham, Reil, Banaise, Josey, Patience, Jillian, Jade, Brandy, Mathius, Chloe, Lydia, Tristin. Cousins Isiah, Taryn, Cori, Maverick, Izzy, Michael, Andrew, Miranda, Anita and many other family members to numerous too mention. Leroy loved hunting, fishing, spending time with loved ones, time at the family camp. He really loved to play and spend time with his kids and his nieces and nephews. He made friends wherever he went, he was a loving and caring guy and loved to make people laugh. A wake service will begin on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Grassy Narrows First Nation at Agnes Fisher’s Church. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am at Agnes Fisher’s Church with burial to follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
