She is survived by sister Beverley Iverson (Sonny) and brother Harold King (Gloria) sisters-in-laws Bonnie King and Flora King. She will be missed by many many...nieces and nephews.
Marlyn worked at the Log Cabin Tavern for 50 years and retired in 2001. She loved when people would drop in for coffee and a visit. Mar moved to Parkview Apartments in 2010 where she made many new friendships. You would often see the ladies out walking downtown going for coffee or lunch.
Her passion was reading and watching movies, later on she liked to go for car rides and shopping trips to Winnipeg. She might of been small but she was mighty and loved to eat, especially fries. Auntie Mar was a very kind and generous soul she will be missed (but not forgotten) especially at every holiday and family gathering with her sense of humour and witty comebacks.
Thanks to the 2nd floor nurses for taking excellent care of our little auntie.
There will be no service for Auntie Mar per her wishes.
Online condolences may be made at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Auntie Mar’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
BROWN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE ENTRUSTED WITH ARRANGEMENTS.
