Dad was born and raised in Kenora. Growing up he had a love for music, motorcycles and fishing. He taught himself to play guitar and joined a band. He met Pat and they married Boxing Day, December 26, 1966. In the 1980’s they started a taped music business “Supreme Sounds” and spent many weekends playing music for weddings and socials.
Back in the day you could find Dad on his CB Radio where his “handle” was “The Cisco Kid”, sitting watching wrestling with his girls, out on the lake fishing or in his basement making his own jigs.
He had been employed at the Kenora Paper Mill for many years before moving on to become a custodian at Mount Carmel School.
Special thanks to Pinecrest Staff - Mike Limerick and Dr. Michelle Thomas for taking such good care of Dad, especially in these last few months. Rod McMillan for keeping Dad stocked up on all his favourite snacks. To Samantha Young for helping me make sure Dad got what he needed and for visiting with him. Nicole Pell for your help with pretty much everything. You helped in situations where I was unable to and I’ll be forever grateful. To Heather, Brenda & Laura from Unit 3 for keeping me updated, being there for both Dad and I, and listening to my concerns.
To Cory Jinkerson from Brown Funeral Home for your care and compassion as always and to the most caring Granddaughter, Caitlyn Dawn. Thank you for being so patient, kind and gentle with Papa. Your visits meant so much to him.
In keeping with Dads wishes there will be no service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
