Passed away peacefully at Lake of the Woods District Hospital on October 20, 2023 with his family by his side.
Kai-Kog-Kish-Queb was predeceased by his parents Sarah and Donald Mandamin and his daughters Lucia and Cheryl Mandamin.
Kai-Kog-Kish-Queb is survived by his wife Louise Mandamin, son Darrell (Noella), his sisters Mary Lorraine Mandamin and Katherine Hunter and brother George Edward Mandamin. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bobby (Amanda), Ivan, Starla nash, Whitney Nash (Alwyn), Terrell, Lucian and Daryl Hanna Cowley, as well as many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kai-Kog-Kish-Queb was a knowledge keeper and hereditary Chief of Naotkamegwanning First Nation. Kai-Kog-Kish-Queb was a trapper, guide and spent his last years commercial fishing. He loved spending time with grandchildren and watching his great grandchildren play. Kai-Kog-Kish-Queb was a great storyteller and love to share his Culture and Traditions with his family and community.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and Doctors who cared for Moses and the family through his last days. Special miigwech to Donna Namaypoke and Rose Marie Joseph patient navigators for all your help and support.
A wake will be held at the Peshinogeb Cultural Centre in Whitefish Bay First Nation on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 12:00pm with a Traditional Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:00am, all are welcome.
