With great sadness, we announce that Patrick James Savoyard has begun his journey to everlasting life.
Patrick leaves behind his beautiful wife of 36 years, Gloria Savoyard; his children, who were his pride and joy, Shane, Jarrett, and his baby girl, Wawatay Savoyard (Justice Chartrand); and his foster children, Tatiana and Mason. Patrick took great pride in being a grandfather and leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Samuel, Lilyn, and Kylis Savoyard.
He will be lovingly remembered by his in-laws, Leo and Barbara Towegejick; his brothers, John Savoyard, Michael Bryant (Courtney), Kenny Bryant, and Charles Clarke; and his sisters, Melody (Tim) and Cathy Bryant.
He also leaves behind his aunts, Agnes McDonald, Doris McDonald, Marlene Bryant (Dean), and Rose Kelly; and his uncles, Elmer Savoyard and Gus Paishk (Gloria).
Patrick will be missed by his nieces, Danielle, Candace Bryant, Vanessa Savoyard, Dawn Stiles, Jacklyn Kent, Dee-Dee Savoyard, Melanie (Adrian) Bunting, Bertha (Joesph) Boyd, Michaela, Rayanne, Cadence, Kayleigh, and Rebekah; and his nephews, Carl Bryant (Stephanie), Dale Savoyard, Dean Savoyard (Marella), CJ Savoyard, Benjamin Kent, Patrick Sayoyard, John Savoyard, Avery Skead, Christoper Bryant, and Zachery Bryant.
He leaves behind his great-nephews, Draven, Uriah, Killian, Lazarus, and Cairo; and his great-niece, Linayah.
He will also be remembered by his cousins, Caitlin, Taylor, Olivia, Caden Bryant, Tristen Ogden, Trevor, Lisa Savoyard, Brandon Savoyard, Briana Pink, Alex Savoyard, Dave McDonald, Patrick McDonald, Myrna McDonald, Elsie McDonald, Marilyn McDonald, Marlene McDonald, Patricia McDonald, Lina McDonald, Catlin McDonald, Joey McDonald, Peggy McDonald, Theresa Chicago, Virginia Chicago, True, Caleb, Baby Martin Bryant, Rose Assin, Fenix Savoyard, Zosia Savoyard, Marcus Cherry, Tai Savoyard, Klayton Savoyard, and Matthew Stiles, along with numerous family members.
Patrick will be dearly missed by his longtime friends, Roland Fisher, Darren McDonald, Murphy Kakekagamic, and Adrian Bunting.
Patrick joins his son, Johnny Savoyard; his parents, Kenny Bryant and Alice Savoyard; his sister, Brenda; his brother, Darryl Savoyard; his uncles, Allan McDonald, David Land, and James Land; his aunts, Mary Savoyard and Irene Savoyard; his nephews, Alvin McDonald, Harold McDonald, and Darren Stiles; his cousins, Willie Savoyard Jr. and Baby Savoyard; his grandmothers, Matilda McDonald and Cecilia Land; and his grandfathers, John Savoyard (Shoont) and Willie Savoyard Sr.
Patrick loved spending time with his grandchildren and cherished his role as their grandfather. He was also a doting foster parent to Mason, Tati, and Jediah. His dream was to return home to Wabaseemoong and live in his home community.
He enjoyed playing music, playing PlayStation, cooking for Gloria, and caring for his dogs, Blocker, Ryu, and Max.
A traditional wake will begin at 12:00 p.m. on October 3, 2026. The traditional ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on October 5, 2026.
Both the wake and funeral will be held at the WCWA Building in Wabaseemoong First Nation.
Elder Leslie Copenace will send Patrick on his journey.
