Paul Kelly was one of the kindest human beings blessed to walk this earth and he was loved by everyone he encountered. He spent his later years spending time and supporting his Daughter Diana White living with her in Thunder Bay before he moved to his final residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba. All members of the family would regularly seek him out and bring them to their place to visit whether it was Minaki, Kenora Thunder Bay or elsewhere. He was always a helper wherever he went and would do whatever he could to contribute. Even if it was just something simple as cleaning your vehicle or picking up garbage or cleaning your house he would do it. He respected the culture, but was searching for God and read the Bible regularly as witnessed by those close to him.
Sometimes we like to think that if you put an eagle feather and a cross, and then lean them together, they point to one creator.
Paul was a very respected man and will be missed by all who loved him.
Traditional wake and funeral ceremonies will be conducted by Mide'kiwenzie of Ki'eshgitabaaning and his helpers, beginning Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:00pm at Washagamis Bay Band Office, Washagamis Bay, Ontario. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10:00am at Washagamis Bay Band Office with burial to follow in Washagamis Bay.
