Penny Dewitt

17 October , 19651 April , 2019

On April 1st 2019, with her family at her side Penny Dewitt (nee Bruchkowski) passed away at the age of 53.

She leaves to mourn her, sons Robert McCormick and Shane McCormick and grandchildren Brooklyn, Braden and Edward McCormick. As well as her mother Florence Bruchkowski, siblings Tom Bruchkowski, Ron Marquart, Cindy (Ernie) Sinclair, Tammy Bruchkowski (Allan Sinclair), nieces and nephews Brian Sinclair, Samantha Sinclair and family, Robyn (Billy) McMillan and family, Steven (Caylie) Marquart & family and Amanda (Tyler) Nahnybida & family.

She was predeceased by grandson Caleb Nicholas McCormick, father Edwin Bruchkowski, grandparents Marguerite & Steve Bruchkowski, Bertha & Joseph Caron, Uncles Leo Caron, Jim Cotte, Jim Danka, David Bruchkowski, Aunt Rita Dierickse & cousins Jeffrey Cotte and Maureen Cross.

Penny loved her family, especially her grandchildren & had a kind soul & loved crafts and animals. Penny was very independent, she always insisted she could do things for herself. Even though she refused help from others, she was the first to offer help to others in need. Penny worked for the Salvation Army, Pinecrest Home for the Aged and at Canadian Tire in Kenora and in Fort Frances.

Penny had a different perspective on the world, which made her a great person to brainstorm with. Even if you didn’t find the result you were looking for, her sense of humor made it time well spent.

She will be greatly missed.

Service will be held in Emo, Ontario at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by family.

I had the pleasure of working with Penny at Canadian Tire Fort Frances.
I loved listening to her stories she had to tell, and there were many. She was quite the story teller and always had us chuckling. She also loved to bring in baking for everyone.
Penny will be missed by all.
My sympathies to the family
