May 18, 2004 – May 31, 2020
There are people in our world that have an extraordinary purpose, they bring joy and peace and unconditional love to everyone around them. Their smiles are brighter, their laughter is deeper, louder, they have the ability to make us feel gratitude, simply by existing.
We have lost one such soul. Our beautiful Rayna Angel Precious Goodman passed away unexpectedly Sunday May 31, 2020. She is free from the body that prevented her from experiencing so many of the joys of this world.
Rayna was born in Winnipeg MB to Ardelle and Elodius Goodman. From Birth she struggled with health concerns that have threatened her life so many times. It was due to the strength of her parents that stood by their precious daughter that she was able to overcome these trIals and enjoy 16 years of life.
When she was ten years old she came to live with her caregiver Roz and her daughter Ryan. It was love at first sight. Over the next 5 years they had many wonderful adventures and spent so much time laughing and exploring the world around them.
Rayna loved people. She was a spark that brought joy to everyone that had the privilege to meet her. She fiercely loved her sisters and brothers Brayden, Lanayna, Raylene Gabius and Gabriella and her friends and extended family both in Kenora and Sandy Lake. She was blessed to have her best friend Jonas Bird with her on her last day. A day filled with love and laughter.
Rayna will be returning home to Sandy Lake to be laid to rest.
Wake Service will be held at Sandy Lake First Nation on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Funeral Service will be held at Sandy Lake First Nation on Thursday, June 4, 2020 with interment to follow.
