Bob unexpectedly passed away August 28 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora.
Born in Dryden to Irene Alberts and Robert Brignall. He was predeceased by his parents and stepfather, Art Cheyne, as well as older brother Leonard, of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Bob is survived by his wife Beverly (Bev) of 61 years, also two sons, Michael (Mike) his wife Kyla, grandchildren Harrison and Audrey all of Winnipeg; Richard (Rick) his wife Shelley, grandchildren Isabella and Everett all of Kenora.
Bob was an avid hockey player all his life, until later in life when golf replaced hockey. He loved hunting and fishing, being out on the lake with the family on the houseboat and at the camp as well as, exploring coast to coast across Canada. He enjoyed many friendships, special friends Kirk and Maurice, and the camaraderie of the group as he lived a Twelve Step life for 54 years.
Bob was versatile in various types of work, then becoming an electrical journeyman and establishing Bob’s Electric as owner/operator until age 72. This business continues to present day.
A private service will be scheduled at a future date for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a favourite charity.
