Roger was funny. He could impersonate almost anyone, and for a period of time he was involved in improv acting which demonstrated his ability to make people laugh and his talent as an actor.
Growing up with Roger was FUN! He enjoyed bike riding, ice skating, swimming, building forts, playing ninjas and street hockey. He always wanted to be the goalie, and his favourite player was Patrick Roy. He loved the Ninja Turtles, WWF wrestling, and playing Mario Bros on the Nintendo. Later in life, his love became music.
Roger was a natural performer. He was a skilled (fully self-taught) and brilliant musician. He wrote and produced his own music, which he sometimes shared on YouTube, or his social media pages.
Roger wowed crowds at karaoke and performed in events as a young man. His musical talent came from his dad, Roger Sr., who also played guitar and liked to sing.
His daughter Latoya says, “I will always remember him as a rockstar, even growing up I always thought he was”.
Roger was a proud father. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Kenora Fellowship Centre.
