Roland Fobister

March 18, 1959 – June 22, 2026

Roland a member of Grassy Narrows First Nation passed away peacefully at his residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 22, 2026.

Predeceased by his grandparents Margaret Land (nee) Isbister, Jerry Fobister and Paddy and Harriet Strong. His father Andrew F., mother Nancy Fobister (nee Strong), aunts and Uncles Mary Evelyn Pahpasay, Steve, Patrick, Robert, Margaret, Sharon, Jeanne, Roy Fobister, John B., Francis, William, Louis, Joseph (Spike), Martha, Annie, Mary and Louise Strong, his sisters Victoria, Marcia, Marilyn.

He leaves to mourn his siblings Terry (Alice), Eric, Pamela, nieces and nephews Jacqueline, Leon, Thea, Jasmine, Nathan, Warren, Trevor and Olivia, as well as many other friends and relatives too numerous too mention.

He was a Blue Bombers fan, he followed many sports and loved to play music. He thoroughly enjoyed making his trip around the City of Winnipeg to stop and visit and spend time with his many friends.

Wake service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 beginning at 1:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 11:00am with burial to follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
