Sandra passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents Andrew Keewatin Sr. and Nora Sneaky, sisters Ivy Keewatin, Mary Louise Fobister and Julia Kokopenace, brothers Gordon Sneaky and Henry Loon, granddaughter Nora Sneaky, her nieces Rose Assin and Virginia Fobister, nephews Shawntell Swain and Donovan Kokokopenace, as well as many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Sandra is survived by her husband Stephen Lands, her children Derek Sneaky, Greg Sneaky (Rachel), Todd Joseph, Kendra Sneaky (Manny), her siblings Andrew Keewatin Jr. (Lorna), Larry Keewatin Sr., David Sneaky, Ivan Doull, Linda Redsky (Wayne), nieces Lameeka Land, Victoria Sneaky, Carla Kokopenace, Caroline Kokopenace, Cayla Kokopenace, nephews Larry Keewatin Jr., Dion Keewatin, Virgil Keewatin, Cody Keewatin, Calahan Sneaky, Vladimir Swain, Henry Swain, Dean Sneaky, Joseph Kokopenace and Dalton Land, grandchildren Annie Sneaky, Hazel Sneaky, Daisy Sneaky, Sinikah Joseph, Tayla Joseph, Jimi Fobister, Tasha Loon, Chasity Loon and Maybeline Loon. She also cherished her daughter in law Kayla Swanson and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
She will also be missed by her close friends Geraldine Fobister, Gloria Fobister, Sally Ashopenace, her sister-in-law Shirley Keewatin, as well as many others who will miss her dearly.
Sandra enjoyed playing Bingo, casino visits, making Bannock, playing cards and raising and guiding children throughout her lifetime, she was extremely proud to be a part of the Elder’s Advisory and she also enjoyed taking rides in the country with Stephen.
A wake service will begin on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:00am at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows with Elder Langford Ogemah officiating, cremation will follow.
