Shelley was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph M Roy and Albertine (Landry) Roy, Jack and Pearl (Kreger) Acree, Uncles Robert Roy, Wayne and Charles Acree, Bill Russell, Aunt Ann Acree.
She leaves behind to mourn her loss, aunts and uncles Suzanne and Brian Penner, Judy Roy, Nancy Russell, Perry and Eva Acree, George and Pat Acree, Kathie Bradfield, Rose Acree, Joan Warner and Paul Acree. Her cousins will also feel her absence.
As a young child Shelley loved all kinds of dance classes, playing baseball, gymnastics, camping, a good book, critters with fur. A family joke, bumblebee soccer was not her game.
Shelley's formative years were spent in Winnipeg, Montreal and Calgary, but " home" was calling and Shelley and Joey returned to Kenora and the Lake of the Woods area spending time with family and friends enjoying activities such as leisurely boat trips and fishing on the Winnipeg River and the Lake of the Woods.
Shelley's proudest achievement was her son Joey, celebrating in his accomplishments in education and career path in life. Shelley loved animals and, over the years, had a number of fur babies as her loving companions.
We will remember the good times, Shelley's face and infectious laughter could light up the room with her presence.
Shelley discovered her creativity and turned her artistic talents into therapy most recently producing numerous watercolours and paintings.
Your Family and friends will miss you and keep our cherished memories close in our hearts as we journey ahead without you, until we meet again, dear Shelley. May you now rest in peace.
In Shelley's memory.
As you go about your daily tasks, be kind to those you meet, as you may never know who may be dealing with their own personal struggle.
A Celebration of life will take place at Central Community Club 746 First Street South on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 pm.
