With deep sadness we announce the passing of Stan Groshak on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the age of 95 at Pinecrest Home for the Aged.
Stan was born in London, Ontario June 27, 1930.
Stan was predeceased by his parents Michael and Angelica, sister Anne Armstrong and husband Theran, brother Alex Groshaka and wife Ollie, nephew Robert Groshak, sons-in-law Archie Wilcott and Tim Ivey, father and mother-in-law Joseph and Helen Luby.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Jeanne (Luby), children Jan Ivey, Dan Groshak (Janice), Judy Wilcott, Debra Coulis (Ryan), grandchildren Michael, Danene (Ryan), Brennan (Samantha), Kelsie, Sarah (Brett), Haydn, Georgia, Hunter and Tucker.
Stan played Jr. hockey in Hamilton, Sr. Hockey in Kirkland Lake, Pro Hockey on Quebec, in Kirkland Lake they would have exhibition games against Gordie Howe, Jean Beliveau etc., he knew them all.
Stan was a hoisting engineer for 60 years. He worked across Canada for different companies on the Pipeline. He was also a welder by trade and mechanic.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, woodworking, music and dancing. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. In retirement wintered in Florida and Yuma, Arizona. He was a lifetime member of the of the ‘Good Sam’ R.V. Club.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Travelodge Banquet Hall.
