August 28, 1945 – July 16, 2026
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts we share the passing of a loving father and grandfather. With his daughter by his side, Wilbert passed away on July 16, 2026 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario, at the age of 80, after a short battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his daughter Kim, his two grandsons David and Logan, and one great grandson Ben. He also leaves behind four sisters Gay (Harold) Rendall of Manitoba, Elsie (Sid) Ball of Manitoba, Judy Bullied of Saskatchewan, Janet Bayford of Saskatchewan.
Wilbert was predeceased by his parents Roy and Ruby Bullied, sisters Marge, Eileen, Josephine and brothers Bill and Larry.
Wilbert was born in Holland, Manitoba, before making his way out west, first to Calgary where he farmed for a while, then on to Edmonton where he spent the majority of his life. He worked for various pipeline companies, first driving truck hauling heavy equipment, and later operating heavy equipment, mainly bulldozers ripping and moving dirt throughout Northern B.C. and Alberta. He was so proud that his work allowed him to see parts of Canada that few people ever have the opportunity to experience. When he decided it was time to slow down, he moved to Kenora to be closer to his daughter and grandsons.
He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his quad through any mud hole he could find, sighting in his rifles, target shooting, cookouts in the bush and fishing with his daughter and grandsons, and the occasional game of crib.
You loved us our whole lives, we will love and miss you for the rest of ours. Rest easy now, Dad. Love you always!
