It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Brother, Uncle, Nephew and Son.
To mourn he leaves behind his siblings Anna (Annette) Redsky, George Paypompee (Sylvia Geyshick), Wayne Paypompee (Rose Jacob), Juanita Paypompee, Floyd Paypompee, Damien Paypompee. His children Naizayah Paypompee, Daniel Paypompee, Mariah Paypompee, Jessie Paypompee, Miigizii-Gaboo Paypompee-Tom, Kaliyah Mandamin, Brayvyn Cowley. His aunts Glenda Cowley, Leona Bird, Nancybelle Cowley, Melvina Cowley, Shari-ann Cowley and uncle Lorne Cowley, as well as many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
He was predeceased by his parents Lillian Paypompee and Peter Cowley Jr., his brother Buifford “Beaver” Cowley, his aunts and uncles Annabelle Strong, Robert Paypompee, Thomas Paypompee Sr., Leon Cowley, Gary Cowley, Clifford Cowley, his brother-in-law Robert (Otis) Giles, his nephews chopper, Kyle and Jeremy, as well as the love of his life Patrishah Linklater-Tom.
Winston often commercial fished as a means to provide for his family. He absolutely loved fishing. His children were the center of his life, he’d bend over backwards for them. Winston had a big heart, always full of laughs and jokes. We will miss you Dad, Brother and Uncle.
Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.
A Wake Service will be held at Winston Paypompee’s Residence, 112 Ojibwah Road, Whitefish Bay, Ontario, on July 21, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am. A Traditional Ceremony will be led by Langford Ogemah at Winston Paypompee’s Residence, 112 Ojibwah Road, Whitefish Bay, Ontario, on July 22, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am. with burial to follow at his residence.
