Gloria worked as a farm laborer and that is where she met the love of her life, Johnny Guerra, whom she affectionately called “My Honey”. She was a great cook and made the best tamales.
Even at the age of 90, Gloria was as sharp as a tack. She remembered names of people and places, dates, events, and even T.V. characters, better than most of us. She enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing gin rummy, scrabble, and boggle.
But more than anything Gloria loved people. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel like the most important person in the room.
Gloria was a very nice, pleasant, loving, caring, simple, easy going person with a heart of gold. We were all blessed and privileged to have been able to share life with her. She will be missed by all.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want, he maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”
