
Kelly J. Woody, 57, of Park, Kansas, died at Penrose Main Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Father Ed Newbury officiating. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Kelly Jay Woody was born in Kimball on July 24, 1955, the son of Howard and Lois (Evans) Woody. He received his early education in Kimball. He moved with his family to Denver and later to Colorado Springs. Kelly moved to Wyoming and worked in the coal mines. He later moved back to Colorado Springs and worked as a truck driver. He moved to Kansas in 1991. He loved old cars, collecting tractors and spending time fishing. Kelly was always a jokester and loved having fun with family and friends.
Survivors include his brother Harpe Woody of Colorado Springs, CO; sister Michelle Schmidt of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces and nephews Justin Woody, Jennifer Hartman, Lance Dunn, Leon Dunn, Travis Clark, Wesley Clark and Tammy Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robin and sister Lisette Dunn.
