Kenneth Lavern Bowman

Kenneth L. Bowman, 83, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on Monday, October 3, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Kimball Cemetery with Pastor Carla Gunn officiating. Kenneth Lavern Bowman was born in Sunol, Nebraska n July 6, 1933, the son of Kenneth and lsie (Stimka) Bowman. He attended school in Lodgepole and graduated from the Lodgepole High School in 1951. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Marien Corps. He was honorably discharged on May 27, 1954. He was married to Cleo Corbet in Kansas. They lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming , Montana and New Mexico while Kenneth worked in the oil field. They returned to Kimball in 1969 and owned and operated several restaurants. He retired in 1996 and continued to live in Kimball until the time of his death. Kenneth was a sports fan and enjoyed watching football. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his daughter Tammy Moench of Kimball, NE; granddaughter Stacey Ruff of Cheyenne, WY; son-in-law Dennis Vogel of Idaho Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Alan Bowman and sisters laverna Koalwhite and Kathleen Moorehead.
