

Paul M. McEntee, 88, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Monday, December 1, 2014. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave condolences for the family. Memorials may be given to the family’s choice. The services for Paul have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Paul Martin McEntee was born in Eddyville, Nebraska on July 13, 1926, the son of Arthur and Ethel (Murray) McEntee. He was raised and attended school in Eddyville, graduating from the Eddyville High School in 1944. He enlisted in the US Navy and honorably served his country. While in the Navy he received training in mechanics. After being honorably discharged he moved to Kearney, Nebraska and worked as an auto mechanic. He was married to Georgia Sleeth in Kimball on September 3, 1949. The couple moved to Kearney for a short time. They moved back to Kimball and Paul continued to work as an auto mechanic and car salesman. He then worked for Antelope Energy operating a refinery for a number of years. He carried mail for the US Postal Service. In 1969 he opened McEntee Liquor a business he operated until he sold it in 1989. He continued to work part time at the liquor store for another 7 years. He was known by the nicknames of “Doc” or “Spider”. He enjoyed glass blowing, rock hunting, fishing and golf. He had a love for cars and collected many over the years. He was an avid dog lover. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons Duane (Dana) McEntee of Casper, WY., and Art ( Marie) McEntee of Leoti, KS; sisters Bernadine Ferguson and Elaine O’Neill both of Grand Island, NE; grandchildren Andrew McEntee and Sean (Kelsey) McEntee and Stacey (Michael) Moreno; great grandchildren Taesen, Ty, Brennon and Brihanna. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant daughter Mary McEntee and grandson Dale McEntee.
