

Stanley L. Wolf, age 82, of Kingsley, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Bortz Health Care with his family at his side. He was born June 11, 1930 in Kingsley to Bernard J. and Sarah (Cook) Wolf.
Stanley served his country proudly in the United States Army for 24 years. One of his missions was being part of Operation Look See – the mission of flying over the Berlin Wall as it was being built.
On December 1, 1951, Stanley married Doris Ann Schichtel at St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church. Together, they raised four children.
Stanley worked for Parsons Corp. for 17 years, and then went into real estate with his brother Don. Together they formed Regal Builders, Wolf Realty, and then owned the Century 21 franchise until their retirement.
Stanley was a member of St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church, the St. Mary's of Hannah Cemetary Association, Grand Traverse Realty Association, Mayfield Township Zoning Board, and American Legion Post #436 where he was an honor guard. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, tinkering, and farming. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, Doris Ann. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was his family and he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Stanley will be greatly missed by his wife, Doris Ann, his children: Joseph Wolf (Eileen Cordoba) of Buckley, David (Joni) Wolf, Janice (Ray) LeVasseur, and Kathy (Kris) Weber, all of Kingsley. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Justin (Jeny) Wolf, Holli (Shawn) Jarskey, Joshua (Stephanie) Wolf, René LeVasseur, Ashley (Chuck) Wolstein, Adam Weber, and Stephen Cordoba. Stanley also had seven great-grandchildren: Carolyn and Nolan Wolf, Jace Jarskey, Brody and Baya Wolf, Kylie LeVasseur and Colton LeVasseur-Nickerson. Surviving brothers and sisters are: Donald (Velda) Wolf, Jack (Marge) Wolf, Deanna Miller, sister-in-law Bridie Wolf from Traverse City, and Marie Arsenault and Brian (Joann) Wolf from Kingsley.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Carolyn Wolf, grandson Jeremy Wolf, and brother Paul Wolf.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church in Kingsley with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Cemetery.
