

Bill N. Jennings, 79, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Wexford House in Kingsport. Born on August 18, 1934 in Clinchport, VA, he was the son of the late Ross Vernon Jennings and Eva Kate Bray.
Bill graduated from the Kingswood School in Bean Station. He served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard and retired in 1987 from the Army Reserves after 30 years of service. He was a youth baseball coach for the Kingsport Boys Club and an independent business man for many years having owned and operated Coin Laundries for 31 years.
Bill worked hard every day of his life and tried his best to help all those around him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ross Vernon Jennings, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Frances Wright Jennings; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Carol Jennings, Scott and Maria Jennings and Phillip and Jenny Jennings; grandchildren, Dustin, Rachael, Julia, Josie, Toni, LuAnn and Traci; and great-grandchildren, Balyn, Cutter, Canton, Zoey, Trinity, Lillie and Eric.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow the visitation in the Garden of Everlasting Life II of East Lawn Memorial Park.
