David Lawrence Wininger

David Lawrence Wininger, 76, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. He one of fourteen children born to the late William and Pauline (Pennington) Wininger. David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Della Wininger; daughter, Crystal Byrd (Paul); son, Jeremy Wininger (Chelsey); step-daughter, Lisa Renner: step-sons, Doug Roberts (Emily) and Anthony Roberts; grandchildren, Lincoln Byrd, Oliva Byrd, Jonathon Renner, Wesley Roberts, Maggie Roberts, Emily Wood, Megan Wood, Samuel Wininger, Hannah Wininger and Alice Wininger; several brothers and sisters; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Wininger family will receive friends on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Smith officiating. Committal Service and Interment will follow the Funeral in the Garden of Christus in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
