

A native of Sullivan County, TN, Mr. Davidson was born on May 15, 1932, the son of the late Willard Thomas & Clara Anna Darnell Davidson. He proudly served during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Davidson was employed with Eastman Kodak as an Analytical Lab Operator. He and his beloved wife of 59 years are charter members of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Edna Hicks and Edith White, two nephews, “Dickie” Hicks and Ronnie Gibbons, two brothers-in-law, M.D. Thurman and Charles Gibbons.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Mrs. Imogene Thurman Davidson. Nieces, Martha (Lowell) Holbrook, Carol (Bill) Bourke. Nephew, Donald “Eddie” Hicks. Three brothers-in-law, James (Sharon) Thurman, Alvin Goins, and Reed Minor. Four sisters-in-law, Mildred Gibbons, Odell Thurman, Agnes Minor, and Louise Goins. A number of great nieces and nephews also survive along with special friends Richard (Sonia) Crumbly and Alfred (Dorothy) Cockrun.
Funeral services for Mr. Davidson will be conducted on Thursday May 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Baker and Dr. Greg Burton officiating and special music by Alvin Goins, TeRonna Hall and Teresa Phillips. Burial with will follow in the Garden of Memories of East Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 108 Colonial Heights Rd, Kingsport, TN 37663 or to the Pleasant View Baptist Church, 1501 Stadium Dr. Kingsport, TN.
