

Dwight was a loving and devoted husband, dad, papaw, poppie and brother. He was a dedicated member and deacon at Homeland Baptist Church for 32 years and loved his church family.
He loved serving the Lord which showed in his lifelong duties as a song leader, deacon and other roles over the years.
Dwight worked at Eastman Chemical Company for 33 years and also at Triad Trucking Company. He loved working in this woodshop and lending a helping hand to others.
Dwight will always be remembered for his caring smile, laughter and undying love for his family and his Saviour.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 plus years, Leona Proffitt Browder; his "favorite son", Terry Browder and wife, Robin; his "favorite daughter", Tina Taylor and husband, Jerry; 6 grandchildren - Tiffany Cox and husband Michael, Whitney Browder, Alyssa Styles and husband Casey, Jordan Taylor and wife Heather, Faith Gillenwater and husband Tyler, and Brandon Taylor and wife Rachel. 11 great grandchildren - Riley, Brayden and Madison Cox; Jaylen, Tyree, and Jazlyn Thomas; Emma, Walker and Wyatt Styles; Addilyn Gillenwater; and Peyton Taylor.
He was also survived by his brothers, John R. Browder Jr. and wife Charlotte, Tommy Browder and wife Tina; his sister, Sharon Owens and husband Bill; brother-in-law, Fred Neeley; sisters-in-law, Cathy Gradean Marsh and Patricia Manis Littrell; special and longtime family friend, Pamela Pierce, several nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.
His parents, John R. Browder, Sr. and wife Mary Iva; brothers Donald, Jim and Rick Browder; sister Crodia Neeley, and sister-in-law, Darlene Powers, all preceded him in death and were waiting for him in heaven.
The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Homeland Baptist Church, 2504 Hawaii St., Kingsport, TN 37660. A funeral service will be conducted by his son and Pastor, Terry Browder and Jim Mullins on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 7:00 PM. The burial will be conducted by Justin Quillin at East Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Michael Cox, Casey Styles, Tyler Gillenwater, Jaylen Thomas, Brayden Cox, Tyree Thomas
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Taylor, Peyton Taylor and deacons of Homeland Baptist Church.
Music will be provided by Nathan Thomas, Yolanda Steadman, Kenya Denny, Robyn Robinson and The Browders
The Browder family would like to thank the staff at Holston Valley Hospital, 2nd floor Cardiac Unit, Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Vu, Dr. Mayhew and the Amedisys Hospice staff for the loving care and compassion they showed to Dwight and his family.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Homeland Baptist Church.
