Helen W Rodgers

Helen W. Rodgers age 96, of Kingsport, TN. passed away Friday October 14,2011in the Wexford House after an extended illness. Mrs. Rodgers was born in Roanoke VA. And a resident of Pulaski VA for, most of her life and moved to Kingsport five years ago. She was a member of The First Baptist Church; Pulaski ,VA. and was a member of the Pulaski County Garden Club.

Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Rodgers SR.; her parents William Marshall and Eva May Reese Wood; a brother William M. Wood, sisters Dorothy Smiley and Thelma Pruitt.

She is survived by her son, Charles E. “Buddy” Rodgers and wife Brenda K. of Kingsport, TN.; one sister Maureen Wade, Roanoke, VA.; grandchildren

The Rodgers family will receive friends Sunday October 16, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.. Graveside services will be conducted Monday October 17, 2011 at Highland Memorial Park; Dublin, VA. With Pastor Aaron Ray Smith officiating .The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Highland Memorial Gardens .Brief service will take place in the Mausoleum at 2:00 P.M.
