J.H. “Butch” Jones, age 69 of Kingsport, entered into the glories of Heaven during the evening hours of Thursday, August 2, 2018. Butch was born on April 10, 1949 in Kingsport to Milam C. Jones and Lillian Morrell Jones. On September 17, 1971 Butch married his most cherished friend and love of his life, Ginger Jones, and after living a beautiful life together and raising a family, she survives.
Butch was a devout Christian man and he loved his family dearly. He found solace in the simplicity of life; from gardening and planting roses, to just sitting back and enjoying the wonders of nature. Butch was a quiet and gentle man who loved camping and fishing with his family and friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Tracy Leigh Jones. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Ginger Jones; daughter, Kim Kuhn; three grandchildren, Shanda Flynn, Brittany Owen, and Amber Owen; four great grandchildren, Ayden Winstead, Elijah Winstead, Asher Dobbs, and Torin Byington; brother, Mac Jones and wife Juanita; two sisters, Jean Flanary, and Betty Porter and husband Jack; and a host of friends.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff of Nova Health and Rehabilitation Center in Weber City and the staff of Avalon Hospice.
There will be a private family ceremony held at East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Dewey Shaffer officiating.
