

James Curtis Winkle, 79, of Blountville, entered into rest on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. Born on September 25, 1936 in Sullivan County,Tennessee, he was the son of the late Clyde Winkle and Ella Livesay Winkle. In addition to his parents, Clyde and Ella Winkle, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ernestine Winkle; his brothers, Reverend Marvin Winkle and Billy Winkle. He is survived by his children, Michael Winkle and his wife, Tonya, Tim Winkle and his wife, Rene, and Mark Winkle and his wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Mika Davenport and her husband, Josh, Andy Winkle, Katie Easler and her husband, Will, Hope Winkle, Mandy Thompson and her husband, Chris, Blake Winkle, Heather Trent and her husband, Cameron and Mickey Winkle; great-grandchildren, Tanner Davenport, Emma Easler, Noah Easler, Cooper Easler and Jackson Thompson; sister-in-law, Anna Francisco; and special friends, Curtis and Brenda Bledsoe. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with the Reverend William Charles Easler officiating.
