Julia A. Horne

Julie Azle Horne went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 14, 2014. Julie was born May 14, 1917 in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller Blake Horne, Jr.; her father and mother, Frank and Hattie Salley; two sisters, Mable Bright and Garfa Pesecreta; five brothers: Paul, Dan, Ray, Charles and Jim Salley. She is survived by her sister, Jannette Hagy of Kingsport, Tennessee.

In addition to her sister, Julie is also survived by her daughters, Judy Kerley and husband Jerry of Oakwood, Georgia and Lynda Johnson and husband Kenneth of Colmesneil, Texas; four grandchildren: Anthony (Troy) Henley of Kingsport, Tennessee, Craig Kerley of Woodstock, Georgia, Michelle Carmello of Austin Texas, and Amy Dabat of Gainesville, Georgia; nine great-grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the home of Anthony (Troy) and Carolyn Henley at 337 Virgil Avenue, Kingsport, Tennessee on the evening of Friday, February 21.

A viewing will be available at 10 am on Saturday, February 22 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 am. Rev. Grady Lee will conduct the service, with vocals provided by Mr. Kenneth Clevenger. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
