He was born September 16, 1933, in Lee County, Virginia, to the late Curtis and Celia Bledsoe. He was a long-time member of Northeast Church of Christ. He proudly served in and retired from the U.S. Air Force and later retired from the security force at Holston Army Ammunition Plant. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and instilled in them a strong work ethic and sense of duty to serve others. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and we rejoice that he is now reunited with his beloved wife Joan, whom he served as a faithful caregiver when her health declined.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan, two brothers, and a sister.
Kyle is survived by his six children: Kyle Bledsoe, Jr., Debra (Robert) Geer, Sonja Wyman, Theresa (Zane) Brooks, Randy (Melisa) Bledsoe, Sheila (Gary) Smith; grandchildren Melissa, Diane, Allyson, Brandon (Amber), Matt (Miranda), Zane, Corey, Johnny (Jordan), Megan and Shannon; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Curtis (Jeanette) Bledsoe, and sister Sue Laws.
