Margaret L. Shipley, age 84, entered into rest November 21, 2011 at Indian Path Hospital from complications from a lengthy illness. She was born in Sullivan County, Tennessee to the late Roy and Matilda Murray. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LeRoy Shipley, four brothers, Sam, George, Bill, and Joe Murray. Survivors include, four sisters Edna Linn of Kingsport, Virda Barrett of Kingsport, Thelma Galloway of Spartanburg, S.C. and Malinda Fletcher of Kingsport, one brother Frank Murray of Melbourne, Fl., several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Millard Porter officiating and burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
