Omeda Fox Holt

Omeda Fox Holt, 87, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015, at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1928 to the late Boyd Fox and Bonnie Thomas Fox in Parrotsville, TN. In addition to her parents; Mrs. Holt is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Fox; sisters, Geneva Huber, Mildred Solburger, Venie Smith and Blanch Smith. Omeda was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church and worked as a Librarian at Bloomingdale Library. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, William B. Holt; daughters, Jerri Sunderland and husband William of Blountville, TN, Judy Holt of Sherwood, AR; brothers, Dale Fox and wife Barbara, Wilford Fox and wife Dorothy; sister, Reva Dean Rice and husband Jack of Bybee, TN; granddaughter, MaryBrooke Sunderland of Washington DC; brother-in-law, Winston Holt and wife Joyce of Greeneville, TN; sister-in-law, Bertie Love of Greeneville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her special caregivers for their loving care for Mrs. Holt; Kay Hall, Sue Burton, Mary Jones, Phyllis Bowen, JoAnn Miller and the Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tennessee. Funeral Services for Mrs. Omeda Fox Holt will be held at 2:00pm in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Good Shepherd of East Lawn Memorial Park.
