Paula S. Lane

Paula-Smith Lane, age 47 of Blountville, Tennessee entered into rest on Saturday, October 21, 2011. Miss Smith-Lane was a Bristol, Virginia native and the daughter of the late Sherman Smith, as well as Mary Lou Wolford-Smith. She was of the Baptist faith. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors, other than her mother, include a daughter: Brittany Bruce and her fiancé, Avery Akins; one brother, Sherman Smith, Jr.; two sisters: Sharon Smallwood and husband Shannon and Jennifer Smith and her special friend Roy Moore; one grandson, Jonathan Pike, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service for Paula Smith-Lane will be conducted on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Susan Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the James-Wolford Cemetery. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 12:45 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Smith, Jr., Shannon Smallwood, Cody Smith, Johnny Ross, Bill Hackney, Travis Wagner and Avery Akins.
