Reece C. Jarrett

Reece Jarrett, age 78 of Kingsport passed away at Holston Valley Medical Center, Wednesday June 1, 2011.

Reece was born April 23, 1933 in Roan Mount (Carter County) to the late McKinley and Rosie Brown Jarrett. He was a resident of Kingsport for most of his life and was an employee of Summer’s and Taylor Paving Company.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Jarrett, of the home. Son, Larry Jarrett, Dandridge, TN., and step-son, Tony Helton, Kingsport. Daughter, Sheila Owenby, Morristown, step-daughters, Teresa Ray, Blountville and Kristie Campbell, Kingsport and several brothers and sisters in Roan Mountain, TN.

Grandchildren, Reece Jarrett, Parker Campbell, Maddie Campbell, Victoria Campbell, Scott Hughes, Chris Hughes, Sara Carroll, Holly Ward and Hilary Helton. Six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2011 from 5 – 7 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel at 7:00 PM with Pastor Wes Rankin, officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm, in East Lawn Memorial Park.
