Bobby served in the US Army during the Vietnam War in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He received a Bronze Medal and two Purple Hearts for his service. Bobby retired from Eastman Chemical Company.
Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. On any given Saturday in the fall, he was cheering on the UT Vols. He was a member and greeter at Sullivan Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Preston Nottingham; brother, David Nottingham; and sister, Kay Snodgrass.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jo Ann Nottingham and son, Kevin; grandchildren, Walker, Rachel, Mason, and Grace; and brothers Larry (Anita), Jim (Leola), and Charles (Linda); and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at East Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 5-7 PM. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation. Burial services will be at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 11 AM on Friday, May 23, 2025. Please plan to meet at the pavilion no later than 10:45 AM.
Pallbearers will be Landon Sutherland, Alan Harmon, Mike Akers, Brandon Akers, Keenan Nottingham, and Clayton Nottingham.
