Shirley J. Neeley

Shirley J. Neeley age 72 of Kingsport passed away January 1, 2011 at her home. She was born March 27, 1938 in Washington County, VA to Henry H. and Rutha M. Bowman and has resided in Kingsport for most of her life.

Shirley retired from J.P. Stevens after 42 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry H. Bowman in 1988.

Survivors include Bobby L. Neeley, her husband of 43 years, two sons Henry A. “Tony” Bowman and wife Judy L., and Christopher Neeley all of Kingsport, her mother Rutha Hobbs Bowman of Kingsport, brothers Donald H. Bowman and David M. Bowman both of Kingsport, sisters Betty L. Necessary, Carolyn S. Bledsoe and Peggy Y. Bishop all of Kingsport and several nieces and nephews.

Entombment service will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 1 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor T.J. Burdine officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
