Troy L. Bright

Troy L. Bright, age 77, entered into rest January 13, 2011 Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1933 in Hiltons, Virginia to Forrest and Sudie Bright, and has resided in Kingsport for the past five years having moved from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Troy retired as a CW3 in the U.S. Army after serving twenty years. His military service included three tours of duty in Germany, two tours in Vietnam, and one tour in Korea. He was a former member of the Myrtle Wood Golf Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Sudie Bright, two brothers, Manzie and Donald Bright, one sister, Wanda Eve Bright.

Survivors include his wife of fifty five years of marriage, Ann Bright, three sisters, Juanita Bright Tupper, Roma Bright Fink and husband Haynes, Shirley Fink-Marsden all of Kingsport, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family at the residence today, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends and family Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 12 until 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park..
