Agapita Mendietta Davila

Agapita Mendietta Davila, age 88, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Kingsville. She was born on March 1, 1922 in Kingsville to Luis and Martina Adame Mendietta. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Andres S. Davila; two sons, Andres Davila Jr. and Rene Davila; and parents.

Mrs. Davila is survived by four children, Magdalena (Nicolas) Garza of Riviera, Texas, Jose (Maria) Davila of Taft, Texas, Graciela (Patrick) Butler of Kingsville and Ernesto (Guadalupe) Davila of Ricardo; two sisters, Dominga Garcia of Alice, Texas and Victoria Salazar of Kingsville; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial followed in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery
