Eduardo Mejorado

Eduardo Mejorado, 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 12, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 7, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Pablo Mejorado and Dominga Fuentes Mejorado. Eduardo proudly served in the U.S. Army and fought bravely in the Korean War. He then embarked to work in the civilian world. After 37 years of commitment, Eduardo retired from Naval Air Station Kingsville Public Works Department.

He is preceeded in death by his parents: Pablo & Dominga Fuentes Mejorado.

He leaves behind his loving & devoted wife of 56 years, Ramona Tijerina Mejorado of Kingsville. He is survived by his sons: Jesse (Elizabeth) Mejorado, Rolando (Nancy) Mejorado, Javier (Sylvia) Mejorado, Alex (Annette) Mejorado, and Eduardo Mejorado, Jr., all of Kingsville; his daughters, Rosie (Erasmo) Guajardo of Kingsville, Annie Hosseinpour of Harlingen, Texas & Sylvia (Noe) Ramirez of Ricardo, Texas; his brother, Elisandro (Alfonsa ) Mejorado of Corpus Christi, Texas; and two nephews, Mike and Mark Mejorado. He leaves his legacy behind with 24 granchildren & eight great-granchildren.

Public visitation will take place on Monday, March 15, 2010 after 6:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Thenan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail.

Active pallbearers will be Jesus Mejorado, Elisandro Mejorado, Eduardo Mejorado Jr., Noe Ramirez, Erasmo Guajardo and Conrado Garcia.
