Elizabeth E. Rios

Elizabeth E. Rios, age 82, a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and a former resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 in Corpus Christi. She was born August 20, 1929 in Kingsville to Miguel Escobedo and Anselma Sanchez Escobedo. Mrs. Rios was a pastor at Iglesia Siloe in Corpus Christi. Previously she was a licensed vocational nurse.

She was preceded in death by her son, Antonio E. Rios Jr.; parents; two brothers, Juan Escobedo and Pablo Escobedo; and sister, Dorcas Ramirez.

Mrs. Rios is survived by her husband of 65 years of marriage, Antonio R. Rios of Corpus Christi; four children, Maria M. Mosquera-Bardon (Francisco), Miguel E. Rios (Ruth) and Rachel Vallejo (Francisco), all of Corpus Christi, and David E. Rios (Damaris) of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Herlinda E. Rios (Lorenzo) of Kingsville and Juanita E. Sanaseros (Jesse) of Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Raul Mendez officiating. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
