Shirley A. Stone

Shirley A. Stone, age 69, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born June 22, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Steven Mattison and Margaret Tack Mattison. Mrs. Stone, a homemaker, was a teacher’s aide in San Diego, California, Bermuda and Kingsville Independent School District.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon L. Stone of Kingsville; two sons, Michael E. Stone (Tracy) of Santee, California and David A. Stone (Catherine) of Suffolk, Virginia; two daughters, Sherry L. Hale (Roy) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Patricia A. Nelson (Jeffery) of Elk River, Minnesota; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Marcia Kline officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
