Virginia R. Flores

Virginia R. Flores, age 88, a resident of Lamesa, Texas and a former longtime resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Lamesa, Texas. She was born on November 12, 1922 in Premont, Texas to Cayetano Rodriguez and Rosenda Herrera Rodriguez. Mrs. Flores was a retired cook and worked for 30 years as a cook for the Clements Family at the King Ranch. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, Kingsville.

Mrs. Flores was preceded in death in 1973 by her beloved husband, Eleazar Flores; son, Guillermo “Willie” Flores (1973); and two sisters, Emilia Sanchez and Marcolfa Rodriguez.

She is survived by her children, Efrain Flores (Vangie) of Glendale, Arizona, Emma Rodriguez Aguilar of Lamesa, Eliud R. Flores (Angelita) of Tucson, Arizona, Virginia Martha Flores of Lewisville, Texas; and one brother, Jesus Rodriguez of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mrs. Flores is also survived by grandchildren, Debbie Trevino,Victoria Flores-Calderon (Humberto), Isaac Flores (Nikki), Ida Marie Flores (Alex), April F. Molina (Andres); great-grandchildren, Jonathan Trevino (Zelda), Jennifer Trevino (JJ), Joshua Trevino, Madison Molina, Andres Luis Molina II, Jacob Flores, Chelsea Guerra, Iliana Garza and Mia Calderon; and great-great-grandchildren, Serenity Nicole Trevino, Mallory Rae Trevino and Jeremy Drae Trevino.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Central Baptist Church, 901 East Henrietta Street, Kingsville, with Rev. Servando Torres Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Isaac Flores, Jonathan Trevino, Joshua Trevino, Ernesto Rodriguez Sr., Ernesto Rodriguez Jr. and Joey Rodriguez.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
