William Matt M. Pollard

William Matthew “Matt” Pollard, age 60, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on June 26, 1950 in Kingsville to Melvin G. Pollard and Emily Jo Pollard.

Matt was a graduate of H.M. King High School and Texas A&I University. He was employed as a social worker for MHMR. He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Kingsville.

He was preceded in death by his father; and two sisters, Frances Gallop and Margaret McKee.

Matt is survived by his mother, Emily Jo Pollard of Kingsville; three brothers, David Pollard of Corpus Christi, Tommy (Janet) Pollard and Roger (Laura) Pollard, both of Kingsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Public visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Chamberlain Cemetery with Rev. Sheldon Johnson officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
