Beni, or Uncle Sonny to many, spent his entire life farming outside of Kipling, Saskatchewan. Mostly visiting, but there was farming as well. Beni loved to make people laugh and was always telling jokes and stories. He loved his family, country music and soup, but not necessarily in that order. He was a deeply religious man and the Gaither Family on televison and read his Bible daily, often testing our knowledge of Bible verses. He will be dearly missed for his constant, and I mean constant, advice and sense of humour. He gave advice because he cared about those around him and wanted them to be happy and successful, and make the right decisions.
Besides his loving wife Betty, Beni is survived by his children Cheryl (Wes), Mark, Cameron (Donna) and Dale (Sandra); grandchildren Cydney, Caleb, Danielle, Ben and Avery; and his brother Andrew.
He was predeceased by his son Tim, his parents Olga and Benjamin Sr., brother Calvin, and sisters Angeline and Mattie.
A celebration of life will be held at the Old Bekevar Church, outside of Kipling, Saskatchewan on September 1, 2018 at 2 p.m.
