Craig was born on January 29, 1979 in Weyburn. He grew up on a farm near Corning and enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, playing sports and being outdoors.
Craig will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sarah Dayman and their children: Amberlee (Trevor), Levi (Faith) and Brady (Kaden).
He was the son of Don and Wendy Dayman, in a family of 5 children including his older sister Tracey (niece Wrenley) and 3 younger sisters.
Craig was the first son-in-law to Keith and Audrey Eberle and the first brother-in-law to Carla, Meaghan, Wendy and Bridget as well as an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his grandma Rose Levesque. Craig was predeceased by his grandparents Albert Levesque and Keith and Pearl Dayman.
Above all else, Craig was a family man – an incredible husband to Sarah for 26 years and a fiercely loving and proud Dad to his children. He was gentle in his mannerisms, calm in his demeanour and a kind-hearted man. He loved a good 1 on 1 conversation, was known for teasing his nieces and nephews and always had a quote up his sleeve and a lesson he could teach.
He spent the first 15 years of married life in the oil patch, providing for his family and in 2006 purchased the farm from Lawrence Dayman, fulfilling a dream that he’d always held of eventually farming full time. Here they raised their children, farming cattle and grain and stewarding the land.
Craig always loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake on their boat. He played hockey and fastball for years, enjoying the comradery and friendships as much as the sport.
He was wise beyond his years, the leader of their family and always lived life full with plenty of time for work, plenty of time for play and his family at the root of it all.
Craig leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and will be forever missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
“My biggest accomplishment in life will never be money, it will always be who I raised.”
