Gwen Savage

July 12, 1923 – March 9, 2016

On Wednesday, March 9, 2016, Gwen Savage, widow of Alvin Savage, Kipling Care Home, Kipling, SK died at the age of 92 years.

The funeral service will be held in the Windthorst Community Recreation Centre, Windthorst, SK on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Lynette Callfas officiating.

Interment in Windthorst Cemetery.

Gwen was predeceased by her parents Cyril and Esther Swallow, her husband Alvin Savage, four sisters, Ila Adolph , Lil Graham, Olive Stadel and Ida Parsons; five brothers Fred, Edgar, John, Cyril and Blake Swallow and two other siblings in infancy.

She is survived by her children: Shirley (Jim), Larry (Kathy), Mel (Gail), Daryl (Kathy), Diana (Trevor) and Dwayne (Jackie), sixteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; one sister Fay (Art), two sisters-in-law, Norma and Ruth Swallow and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gwen was a loving caring mother grandmother. Her heart had no limits and was always willing to help. In her later years her infectious laugh and quick wit was always welcomed by the staff of the Kipling Care Home.
