Hilda was born on July 11, 1941 in Duff, Saskatchewan to Jack and Caroline Adolf. Later she married Mervin Kraushaar of Fenwood, Saskatchewan. They had four children: Debbie (Craig) Gunstenson, Gerald Kraushaar (deceased), Darren Kraushaar and Shawna (Rick) Antonio. Hilda had eight grandchildren: Ryan (Shawne), Tyler (Carly), Amber (Curtis), Ashley (Damon), Chantee (Joe), Amett, Samantha and Brittany (deceased). She also had ten great-grandchildren: Aesa, Linken, Dexler, Brooklyn, Deanna, Elizabeth, Frank, Gage, Eleanor and Isabella who all loved their “Gramma Gramma” deeply.
Hilda worked all her life then later in retirement moved to Kipling, Saskatchewan where she enjoyed her life in what she called a very lovely community. Our family would like to thank the wonderful community of Kipling for all the kindness she was given by all. Hilda was always a friendly chatty lady who truly enjoyed people and life around her.
She was a faithful and enthusiastic supporter of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Whether it was a school play, a band concert, a baseball game or a basketball tournament, Hilda was always in the audience or in the stands, cheering them on with pride. In her later years, she cherished receiving photos and videos of her great-grandchildren and their many adventures.
Hilda will be remembered for her boundless love, her generous spirit and her unwavering support of her family. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren – and they, in turn, adored her.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Heaven has truly gained a beautiful angel.
A get-together will be held at a later date.
